At European Projects by LOBA we communicate science and research, we do user experience design and provide consultancy in European funded programmes.  We are growing up and we currently have more than 40 projects. In this context, we are looking to expand our project management team.

We look for someone with

• Degree in international relations, communication science, international studies or similar (preferential)

The challenge we propose to you
Ensuring that the IT infrastructure is running at 100%, namely its reliability, sustainability, scalability and longevity. Your day-to-day work will consist of managing the LOBA server park, providing preventive and reactive maintenance, performing server installation tasks, project migration, monitoring the health of the infrastructure, deploying web projects, among others. In parallel, you will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of LOBA's hosting infrastructure, proposing and implementing medium and long-term solutions.

We are looking for someone with

• Degree in computer engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in similar positions.
• Experience in Linux system administration (mandatory).
• Knowledge in operating systems maintenance - Windows; OS X (preferred).
• Experience in hosting/mail management with PLESK/CPANEL tools (mandatory).
• Knowledge in Networking and DNS (preferable).
• Knowledge of mySQL, or similar (preferable).
• Experience with version control systems (Ex: Git).
• Programming knowledge in PHP and HTML (preferable).
• Fluent in English: speaking and writing (mandatory).
• Skills in problem solving, critical thinking, organization, proactivity and resilience.

• Ease of preparing proposals with technical details
• Enthusiasm for the relational and commercial area
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Written and spoken fluency in English

• Professional experience in Project Management functions.

• Ability to design/adapt solutions that meet the real needs of clients.
• Proactivity, decision-making ability, and focus on the solution.
• Strong management, organization and planning skills.

You can get extra points with:

• Salesforce certifications (Admins, Consultants, Architect or others).
• Certifications in Project Management (PMI; Scrum Master, Agile methodologies or others).
• Fluent in English: speaking and writing.

We look for someone with:

• Minimum background of 5 years in research.
• Degree in Computer Engineering (or similiar).
• Knowledge of OOP (Object Orienting Programming).
• Knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge about a version control system (Ex: Git).
• Experience in Machine Learning. 
• Experience in Developing Res web services. 
• Good communication, proactivity and resilience skills.
• Enjoy teamwork.
