Transition2bio was a two-year project funded by the European funding programme for research and innovation Horizon 2020. Transition2bio buildt upon the most relevant communication and education EU funded projects and initiatives, moving closer to the implementation of the updated 2018 EU Bioeconomy Strategy and promoting the transition towards a more sustainable Europe.
Transition2bio aimed to facilitate the transition towards a more sustainable production, consumption and lifestyle by: Raising awareness on bioeconomy; Exploiting communication tools and activities developed by EU funded bioeconomy projects; Identifying educational and training needs; Developing engaging and educational activities; Strengthening the activities of the European Bioeconomy Network, an alliance of more than 70 projects and initiatives promoting the bioeconomy; Stimulating the Mobilisation and Mutual Learning of Member States and Regions.

our role
As consortium member of Transition2bio, LOBA was the dissemination and communication leader of the project. During the 2 years of project, LOBA was in charge of developing the strategy for the project communication activities, creating the project visual identity, designing and producing the project communication materials (video, factsheets, brochures, communication kit, etc.), creating and managing the Transition2bio website, creating and maintain the project mailing list and disseminating periodic newsletters, press releases and interact with the media to promote the project and its findings, managing the participation in events and LOBA also promoted a series of webinars organised by the project.
