By coordinating testing environments, developing best practices, and implementing pilot projects, it aims to ensure regulatory compliance, legal certainty, and the cross-border development of testing environments.

The EUSAiR aims to establish a functional and scalable network of AI testing environments at the EU level, strengthening legal certainty and regulatory support for AI innovators, particularly SMEs and startups. The initiative will refine AI governance models through pilot projects and stakeholder engagement and foster cross-border cooperation among national authorities.

By providing training and capacity-building, it will enhance the expertise of regulatory bodies and AI developers. Additionally, the EUSAiR will create a centralised knowledge hub to facilitate sharing best practices, ensuring more accessible compliance with the AI Act and promoting AI innovation and market accessibility across Europe.
