Born in the United States and raised in Portugal from the age of three, I have long held a natural curiosity about human beings and the dynamics that define them, which led me to pursue an academic path in Psychology. This journey is not confined to theoretical interest but is rooted in a genuine purpose: promoting people’s well-being, regardless of the context in which they find themselves.
My focus has primarily been on practices of prevention and the promotion of psychological health, understanding that actual impact stems from the ability to anticipate challenges and cultivate resilience. It was with this vision that I sought to join LOBA and, as a lobátic, I am driven by the desire to deepen my knowledge in the organisational sphere and contribute to a healthier work environment, where employee well-being is not merely a goal, but a tangible reality.
I strive to find a balance between professional dedication and personal interests. I am a supporter of Futebol Clube do Porto (“blue and white is the heart”). I enjoy immersing myself in the world of video games—a “moderate gamer,” as I like to say. I also appreciate genuine conversation or simply savouring the serenity of a stroll by the sea or a relaxed gathering with those closest to me.
In the coming years, I aim to realise the mission I have set for myself: to combine science and humanity to foster more harmonious and sustainable organisational environments, where every employee feels valued, motivated, and, above all, at ease with themselves. I believe that LOBA allows this ideology to flourish.
May the future bring good things.
