The aim of the Science@Aveiro event is to bring researchers closer to the Portuguese society and tourist present at the Aveiro City, highlighting the researchers “ordinary character”. The Science@Aveiro project was implemented by Universidade de Aveiro - Fábrica Ciência Viva Science Centre and Globaz, SA. With the support of Municipality of Aveiro, Association for Education and Exploitation of Aveiro Region and Group of Schools Aveiro.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Researchers Nigh' initiative, the “Competition 10th anniversary of Researchers’ Night” was launched, involving competition on drawing, photography and video. This competition was on the theme “Research is everywhere” and was dedicated to the general public, with a greater impact on the students’ community. The location for both events was the lovely City of Aveiro, located in Portugal.
Our role
Together with Fabrica Ciência Viva of the University of Aveiro, LOBA was responsible for organizing the European researchers' night in 2014 and 2015. In addition to organizing the event, we were responsible for the event's image, including all promotional materials, learning materials and goodies for participants. This event took place in Aveiro and Oliveira do Hospital and had more than 2000 visitors.
